The Spruce Pine Potters Market is an annual show that is managed and organized by our artists who live and work in a two county area of western North Carolina. The rich history of craft in this mountain region, along with the renowned Penland School of Craft, has brought these artists to call this area home. Our unique combination of ceramic artists sets the stage for a dynamic show.

Due to the widespread damage in our region due to Hurricane Helene, our Fall shows were cancelled. We are ‘pivoting’ to bring a beautiful online sale instead.
If you wonder how you can help Michael and I recover from the impacts of Hurricane Helene, purchasing our pottery is a great way! Also, we are accepting donations at our online SHOP pages. Look for ‘Gift Money’ (with the blue ribbon icon).

Visit the Focus Gallery Exhibit at the Southern Highland Craft Guild’s Folk art Center for this show titled ‘Art of Detailing.’ We made special pieces meant to hang on the wall! That’s right. We have the walls for this show, and our work will be seen along with 4 other fine makers of fiber art, kiln blown glass, and pottery.
Juried members of the Southern Highland Craft Guild show their work at discounted prices in the Folk Art Center Auditorium. These discounted works are seconds, discontinued works, or works we need to move out to make room for 2024 work.

Rutkowsky Pottery will be participating in this annual self guided studio tour sponsored by the Toe River Arts. The studio tour gives the public the opportunity to visit the studios of over 60 craftspeople who make their homes in the Toe River Valley of Mitchell and Yancey counties NC.
Spruce Pine Potters Market is a one of a kind gathering of our region’s outstanding ceramic artists, representing a wide range of aesthetic and stylistic interpretations.The Studio Tour is a showcase for local artists to feature their work, processes, and studio spaces. Along with the Studio Tour, participating artists will exhibit their work in the Spruce Pine Gallery. This is the 30th anniversary of the Toe River Arts Studio Tour; you don’t want to miss it.
